The grip is exceptionally comfortable compared to other leashes, the cord is superior to the ribbon found on most leashes because it is less susceptible to damage from dog biting and tearing, and the trigger-stop is more ergonomic than the more common thumb-stop. We walk 2 "fiercely determined" bulldogs and have now ordered a second Aspen leash. My wife still suffers from damage to her thumb from repetitive use of the thumb-stop on our old leash. We know from experience that both cord and ribbon leashes can cause burns to unprotected legs.
