I have bought these scissors almost every year for school and can't say enough good about them. They're so durable but more important, they fit very well into small hands and are much easier to control than some other cheaper brands. They last and last, hold up under extreme kids' play, and just provide a very good gripping surface for children to be able to craft they way they'd like. If you're looking for something to develop good coordination, be sure to try these scissors - they're just awesome and worth the extra money! Highly recommend!

Fiskars 12-94227097 5-Inch Blunt Softgrip Scissors Review

I am an Art teacher that has been using Fiskars student scissors for 10+ years. When I received my latest order of scissors, they were of this new type with the "larger" handles (exactly like these, but without the "softgrip"). Because of the new way that the blades are seated into the handles, they are prone to become loose and wobbly, eventually rendering them impossible to cut with. This is at the plastic connection point, not the pivot screw, so they cannot be re-tightened. I have 10 year old pairs of the other style that cut better than these new ones. Furthermore, the new, "larger" handles actually have smaller finger openings-- so they are uncomfortable for larger-handed students to use or for adults to demonstrate with.

Making Memories Instant Setter Review

Making Memories Instant Setter

I love this product. Unlike other hole punches that require a hammer, which I find an easy way to bang you fingers that way, the instant setter you just place it where you want the hole and push down on the top of it. No hammers needed. Plus with the seven different heads that it comes with you can not only punch holes but you can also smooth out edges on brads and many other metal objects for your scrapebooking needs. I have my neighbors all hooked on this setter, and they all used to use the one with the hammer. They will never go back.
