Instead of telling GE customers about locking the pets when GE calls to confirm a technician's visit, GE should tell them that if some part of their broken appliance will be open - it will cost an extra $100 on the top of $99.99 for a visit. We had a top removed from our cooktop to dry the water I spilled and burned the switch. The repair person who came today to fix it immediately told us that this will cost us $100 more for extra labor?! What extra labor? He would have to remove the top any way to replace that switch. So instead of $200, it will cost us $300. As a result GE lost the money we were ready to pay for repair and also GE lost us as customers, bc we are buying a new stove and we'll make sure never buy a GE any again.
