(More customer reviews)This ship is well made, but when I purchased it, I had hopes that it was large enough for fish to hide in, use for eggs, or even hide behind. But this is not large enough for any of those. The smallest of fish wouldn't even be able to dart in or around this thing. So in that way I am disappointed. But it is a nice ship.

(More customer reviews)this castle is a beautiful piece for stand alone in a small tank or with other pieces in a large tank. the open interior is ideal for live plants to take root or for small fish to find dark shelter. from new this is a nice looking castle and maintains its looks for years to come. injection molded and hand painted to a natural look and feel. we use this castle in a small(10 gal.) tank with live plants and tetras(small generic fish). make sure and always give the water plenty of time to aclimate Ph, temp, O2 and micro-bacteria after all ornamwnts and rock are in for at least two weeks before adding fish and plants to promote health and longevity of life in your tank as some ornaments and/or rock adjust these levels and can stress or harm fish. make sure and physically measure your tank or area before purchasing pieces to avoid crowding.

(More customer reviews)This is a very attractive decoration. It's fits quite well with room to spare even in one of my 3 gallon Eclipse aquarium. Eclipse 3 Gallon Acrylic Aquarium System. The artificial foliage is in balance with the hollow log. I often find my Betta asleep in the log at night. The Otto cats love it too.
I did find one or two sharp edges inside the log that might cause an abrasion, but they are easily smoothed. Now, you don't have to worry about trying to anchor down artificial plants or trying to grow live plants that your fish keep uprooting.

Coral Floral Cave with Plants Review

(More customer reviews)I got this piece to place in my 2.5 gallon fish bowl with one Betta fish. The fish loves the little cave and it looks nice too. But I found that one of the plants was made of reasonable hard plastic and was damaging the Betta's fins. So cut that plant and everything is good now. The plant would probably not bother other fish.

(More customer reviews)I was extremely pleased with this product. It provides a lot of different sized openings for fish of any size to enter and hide. I have a 46 gallon bow front tank, and the size fits perfectly, allowing for room to put plants and other decorations. If you've got a smaller tank, obviously you'd be limited with how many decorations you'd be able to use in conjunction with this item.
Overall, a good purchase for the cost.

Reptile Cafe Log Hide-Away Tank Décor Review

(More customer reviews)I really should have looked at the size of this closer. Even at 6" this thing is way too tiny. I saw larger ones in the pet store and thought this was the same product. Our baby corn snake can't even begin to use this. I've set it on top of a large branch to create a little overhang. It looks cute but it does seem to be a waste of money.

Exotic Environments Red Sea Hide-Away Aquarium Ornament Review

(More customer reviews)There's nothing wrong with the manufacturing or quality - the item seems well made and its structure is basically the same as shown in the picture. But the colors are nothing like what is shown. In reality, it is much darker, less kid-like. The "red" coral on the right is really a deep purple; the "yellow" smokestack looking things are really green; the "light blue" flower like things on the left are really a dark copper/burnt orange; the small "purple" flowers are blue and yellow; the "light purple" brain-like looking things at the bottom are blue and a little purple, but much darker than in the picture; the little "yellow" flowers are red. The remaining parts are a couple shades of deep, deep forest green.
It was for a 7 year old, so I am very disappointed.

(More customer reviews)At first I was dissatisfied that the colors weren't as bright as they appeared in the ad, but then I put it in my aquarium with plants and other decor and it looks great! It looks like a mini coral reef and the colors blend well with the plants on a light white gravel. My fish also use the cave to hide or explore and that is always fun to watch. The quality seems good also. So all-in-all I am very happy with it and the price was very good for the quality.
