Cascade Microphones FAT HEAD II - Black/Silver Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I like having an assortment of different sounding microphones.
And ribbon microphones (based on the Fathead II) do have a distinctive tone.
Foolishly, I was hoping it would make a great vocal mic, however its strength is in recording instrumentation.
I imagined it would sound like a warm yet bright large-diaphragm condenser mic.
In truth it sounds like a mellow/dark large-diaphragm condenser.
I like owning this microphone, and you might also, but don't expect it to be your new go-to microphone for everything.

Verizon HTC Droid Incredible Replacement Touch Screen Digitizer Front Glass Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I dropped my HTC Incredible and shattered the screen. I was informed by Verizon that I had the extended warranty but not the insurance. Their suggestion? Buy a new one at full retail price or $599.99... Right...
I'll be honest, I am technically inclined and it still made me nervous to take my phone apart even with those handy instructions: [...]
It took me a couple of hours but I was able to take it apart, replace the screen and put it back together. Words of advice:
. If you're all thumbs, have someone else do it.
. Make sure to disconnect ALL ribbon cables before removing the motherboard. Be especially mindful of the small ribbon cable going through the track-pad's hole.
. You will spend most of your time removing the glued-on shattered glass from the frame so you'll want to have a waste basket near by and possibly a small vacuum.
I rated the product 4 out of 5 stars because of the lack of adhesive to hold the screen in place. Clear double sided tape works fine but I still feel it should be included.
Nevertheless my phone works flawlessly and looks like out of the box for $35 and a couple of hours of work instead of $600.
What more can I ask for?

Brother Model TN-04BK Black Laser Toner Cartridge Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)These TN-04 cartridges seem a bit pricey, but the rated yield makes them more cost effective than they might seem. (TN-04BK is rated for 10,0000 pages 5% coverage, versus say most HP models of similar size/duty at 2500-7500. Obviously, your choice of toner model was made when you selected your printer or MFC.)
I give this a five-star rating because: 1) Amazon had the best price at that time (this does vary), 2) the product was shipped immediately, 3) the product performed exactly as expected.

Nu-kote Model BM354 Nylon Printer Ribbon Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I was very happy to find this product in stock at a much needed time! During the Cash for Clunkers, all of our stores printer ribbons went light at the same time and everywhere I looked was out of stock. I paid for the expedited shipping and that was a little slower than I would have liked, however I still give this product and company a great rating and will continue to do business with them in the future!

Brother ML-100 Daisy Wheel Electronic Typewriter Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought this to use for the bar exam and it has been nothing but trouble. The daisy wheel breaks after typing less than 10 pages and the warranty doesn't cover the daisy wheel. Brother's customer service is pretty weak too. I've been observing a bunch of other folks using this or very similar brother typewriters and the problems with the daisy wheel seem pretty consistent. I'm pretty unhappy with this purchase considering I've typed less than 50 pages on this thing and I've had to replace the typing ribbon and the daisy wheel. It's not a good product.

Casio DR-T120 Thermal Printing Calculator with 12-Digit Display Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I was looking for a calculator that used thermal paper rolls, so that I would not have to continue replacing the ribbon as I did in my old calculator. This calculator fit the bill. The directions with it weren't the clearest in the world, but with a little help from my husband, I was able to set the time and date. Everything else is pretty much like a standard calculator.
