(More customer reviews)This product works great. All you do is insert the cartridge in the device and wait for the light to blink once. The chip is then reset. This is only guaranted to work on canon tanks. I have not tried it on other generic ones but usually they don't work on these. Canon tanks are difficult to refil so I ordered some empty tanks with a removable stopper in the hole used to reflil the tank from ink products. These work good with the resetter and are easy to refil. I use a lot of ink and the only way I can afford to use this printer is to refil the tanks. Canon has recently made the tanks smaller and kept the price the same. This makes the "original" canon tanks even more expensive. I have found that with generic ink, I can set the print copy to lighter than with the original canon ink. Poor quality ink usually has less pigment in it resulting in a lighter copy. I even save more money with the generic ink.
