(More customer reviews)This product uses the ZIF-40 connector. The Macbook Air A1304 (Late 2008/Mid 2009) uses the ZIF-24 connector for the hard drive. If you have one of these air's search under "ZIF 24 adapter" or "ZIF to SATA" (not IDE or ATA).
I think another reviewer mentioned this not being compatible with a late model iPod. If the drive is larger than 120GB then it is ZIF-24 not ZIF-40. ZIF 40 has the same 40 Bit LBA limit as older ATA drives of 120GB. So whichever generation of iPod Classic introduced 160GB capacity more than likely is using the ZIF-24 connector (unless Apple chose some obscure or proprietary connector).
The original Macbook Air A1237 does use the ZIF-40 connector and the drive should work in this enclosure.
