(More customer reviews)I have a Lenovo Y510, and my cat decided to use her claws to pop several keys off my keyboard. The little plastic pieces that hold the key in broke so I couldn't get the keys back on. They were important keys (enter, backspace, escape, and more) so I had to do something. I tried replacing just they keys first, and failed. I am too clumsy or something, and ended up breaking the same plastic pieces that hold the keys in, while trying to put them on. I found this keyboard on Amazon, and was surprised at the price. At $11 it's much cheaper than any other replacement keyboards that I've seen online, and even cheaper than the replacement keys that I bought. I went for it, and was a little nervous because of the low low price. Well it arrived today, and took me all of 2 minutes to replace using just the flat head screwdriver part of my Swiss Army Knife. It was surprisingly easy. You just use the flathead to pop the top bar off (the one with the light up touch panel), then the keyboard just lifts out. It's connected by a ribbon cable underneath, so you have to be careful. Just plug the new ribbon cable in, set the keyboard in and pop the touch panel back on and that's it.
Anyway, don't hesitate on this LF keyboard because of the low price. It works great. It's slightly different than the OEM one, in that the keys have a bit of a texture to them, and a little more "pop". I find that I like typing on it a little more than I liked the original. The textured keys feel better to me, and actually feel a bit more sturdy or something. Anyway, hope this review helps.
